Rare as hens teeth these days Phil; cracking rod stands, very very stable but weigh a bloody ton

I know mate to heavy to lumber about but very sturdy I like the how to rod stand bag can take a rod to it's a good idea.

The telescopic legs are different with the outer tubing extending out and keeping the weight at the bottom of the legs on the MTI whereas on the Salt the slimmer inner parts protrude making it not quite as stable. Cracking tripod, best around, I don't care about the extra weight, well worth it for the stability.

Disagree with that. Its way heavier & better made than the Salt imo & I have had both. The Salts Legs are flimsy in comparison & the MTI is a lot higher I think.
