What's the best gear to take and anywhere decent to stay over or even camp?

Camp in the farmers fields £2 per person cheep as chips
Fishing any rig catches doggies makki as bait float fish with rag we had coalies pollack and wrasse plus jellies and spinners for pollack

We stayed at the clash site last year in a static. Van was adequate, good beer and food in the pub and good advice from the lads on the site. Very friendly bunch who go there regularly.

Me and a couple of pals have booked up to that clash site for the bank holiday weekend. It wasn't much fun playing hop scotch owa the cow pats in the farmers field last time we went. And havin a pub on site will be handy.

You will be sick of the doggies by the time your done. It's like pulling a carrier bag through the water.
