Decided to fish east tarbot, spare of the moment thing loaded with frozen crab, sand eel and mackeral,we were well sheltered from those westerly winds, so it was really comfortable for me and jonn, first chuck both had doggies, second chuck a landed my self a whopping 9lb bullhuss(photo) broke my pb too so was really happy returned it to fight another day, after tht every chuck we were gettin doggies, at slack water everything went really quiet, a chucked out a whole fillet of mackeral hoping to land me anything big out thy, within seconds of me casting out my ratchet screamed a grabed my rod instantly because of the amount of line the thing was takn off,it stoped and i waited till it tug, within a cuple of seconds waitin it nearly tuk the rod out my hands, i then struck as hard as i cud and i was into a monster, a cudnt budge my rod, it was pulling me closer to the cliff edge and a was screamin for help to my m8 jon, by this time my rod was bent double and it was pulling me closer to the edge of the cliff so thy was nothing i cud do, thn my tip went bk and thy was no weight but me lead weight on, a reeled in and my 6/0 mustad vicking was bent straight!! wud of loved to of known exactly wot it was, tope i think like but wud neva know how big, after tht we had doggies, we decided to set off to isle whithorn, had a few doggiess thy thn called it a day
