Muppets on the Tyne

My wife and me had a walk along the Quayside tonight ,there was a few lads fishing opposite the Law Courts ,a strange place to fish when it's very busy with pedestrians and cyclists I thought , as you can imagine casting wasn't easy for them as they had to wait for a break in traffic ,I stopped to let one of the younguns lob in while his mate reeled in a wee Tommie Codling .... " look at the f***ing size of that was the load reply from one of them , loads of swearing later the oldest ( around 20 ) was trying to sell it to a coulored bloke for a tenner ,much to the delight of his muppet mates . On the way back it was great to see a few of them guzzling lager and making anglers generally look like t*ssers , as you can imagine there wasn't much I was going to say with my wife with me . :casstet:

steve muppets is a nice way to describe them i would have used something a bit stronger.just another example of how us genuine fishermen get a bad name

I was thinking it would have been lovely to see a water bailiff or someone official sorting these tow rags out ,I should have said something myself ,kicking myself about it but on the other hand I didn't want my wife to hear anything untoward .... that's me being nice again.
