My favourite little rock just up from marsdon

Fished me favourite rock mark from aprox 4.30pm till 8.15pm. After and extended walk thanks to the great north run organisers closing the lay-by parking off gt set up arOund high water or just after. Had a few small bites on the big rod but nothing came of them. Also took my spinning rod just incase and not long before dark I though ad have one last chuck with the spinner and bang, straight into a mackerel. Was over the moon a wasn't gonna blank. Put up a canny old fight at all times thinking how I was gonna cook that bad boy on the end of my line. Just lifting it up and it gave one last wiggle and decided to unhook its self and after a few bounces off rocks manage to swim off.
So I seen the fish I didn't blank
Great evening overall sitting watching the world go by despite the fishing being quiet

well done m8 i like the rock marks there to but as you didnt actually land the fish does that not count as a a blank lol

Is that you doing your distance release method again and shaking them off

I find it's the best way to release fish unharmed back into the sea..... let them fall naturally off the hook and bounce off the rocks untill they get back lol
