Well we set sail at 08.30 am with high hopes for a few fish. I had been given a rough ground mark about 12 miles steam to the east so it was this area we were going to plunder. Well plunder we tried, time and time again, drift after drift but the fish didnt want to bite. so after a couple of hours dodging around the decision was made to head slowly towards saltburn trying various spots along the way all which produced very little.

We finished the day with 6 keeper cod and the biggest falling to me at about 6lb, when I look at other reports I made the wrong decision and should of gone even further or gone north but you takes your chance.

Anyway it was good to be out

Regards

Good report Sean, sometimes a bit of steaming to find them, and the next time, its from the first drop.
Better luck next time.

Still caught though Sean...is there a PIC somewhere of the new boat?

Thanks for the replies lads. Here it is Tony.

29 is a great top speed, had mine to 24.4 and that was maxed, cruises at 16 with 3 on and full boat of gear, 18 with just me and nothing else.

See you out on the water sometime.

Hi Richie

Yours is a good speed for the size of boat and should serve you very well.

Hope to see you out there soon. Have got a few good marks well off he he
