As my brother inlaw walked his dog along shields pier this morning his siberian husky 18 month old bich managed to find a hook and blue trace line which is now lodged in her throat as i speek at 2.10 pm she is undergoing an operation in boldon vets to try remove i would just like to say thanks to the idiot who never cleaned up after him and at least it wasnt a child picked it up well done too you

same on sunday at the walkway,i wass next to a bin and there was crap all over was some sausage rolls not open and bits of bread some old lady asked if it was my stuff,says no so she picked it up and in the bin in went:o:o
 
sorry to hear about the husky mate,hope it recovers well.Thats the thing with people who leave line,hooks,bait,and allsorts lying all over the place,its left to someone else to tidy up after them,or someone gets hurt because of what they left behind.
 
Sorry to hear about the huskey mate. I had to take someone's longjohns home with me last night from roker pier, along with some line and plastic bags. I feel it is immoral for me to leave other people's sh1t lying about when I've been fishing next to it so why do they seem to think it's alright to leave it there in the first place? The worst thing about it is that they still leave bait on the hooks when they cut them off - even more tempting to a passing dog or some other wildlife. I think as much as we talk about it these people's head must have some kind of common sense forcefield around their heads and you could just never get through to them. I think the council should start ding something extreme like putting pictures of injured animals up (injured by fishing tackle waste that is) all around piers and other popular fishing spots to try and get it through to these numpties. I've been in the process of working with Northumberland council to create a booklet to try and encourage anglers to clean up after them. Having looked at the final draft it's not got as much info in as I would have liked but I'm hoping to get thousands of these booklets and also hoping that the decent people from this site will help me to distribute the the places/people these can have most effect.
 
trouble is the only people that will look and learn from the booklet are the ones that already consider thier actions anyway,
the numptie brigade will see it as something else to heave on the floor
 
sorry to hear about the dog mate hope thing go well it is'nt hard to pick ya mess up and put it in ya bag. i have always got a empty bag because i dont catch nowt lol.
 
Hope the dog is ok - i had a horrible fishing trip last year ,at the gun pits in whitburn - i was just hoying out a 6/0 - 3/0 pennel ,when a couple walking there dog came through the style (from the garages ) they had a juvinile setter ,who made a bee line in my direction - it started to poke its nose in my bag ,eat my greggs pastie and ,be a F**king damn pain - i grabbed its collar and dragged it back away from the cliffs ,explaining to the Bloke that ,its dangerous where i was standing ,because there was hooks and grip wires ,which might stick in the dogs paws ,to which point he LETS go of the dog and says we have as much right to walk the dog as i have fishing EH !! - i was trying to stop HIS dog getting hurt :casstet:- anyway the dog promptly runs up to my rod stand and proceeds to eat my 6/0 - 3/0 pennel ,fully baited - She then kicks off ranting about why on earth i have a baited hook ,when their dog is about - she went white when me and the bloke prised its jaws open so we could get the hooks out - well the top pennel ,came away ,the 6/0 was in its gums ,so all we could do was cut the line - anyway she starts ranting all over again ,until the bloke told her to shut the F*ck up - and away they went to the vets :mad::mad:


seen him months later ,and dog was muzzled (to late was the cry) and it cost them £260 for vets bills - BUT he did apoligise to me for any distress it had caused - and it did to be honest ,i like dogs ,and wouldnt want any harm towards them - ,just a pity he wasnt muzzled first time around
 
Sounds like the bloke should of bought 2 muzzles Bri.

Hope the husky is ok 4andy.

We've had countless threads on the subject of rubbish left at fishing marks but sadly even if the offenders did read them on here they wouldn't take any notice.
