Lads ,

I have recently purchased a namix bullet mould. Iv tried the weights in windy/strong current conditions and they seem to fly well. However I have used the DCA type for years and find they offer good service apart from strong currents ,whereby I have to use elastic bands to keep the wires in place to be more effective.Any views and tips would be helpful .

I use both. I find the namix if used without rollers on the wires are nigh on impossible to "breakout". Both go around the same distance, I usually fish heavy ground anyway so rarely get a lead back! lol

new namix tournament built extra grip without rollers are the way forward and allowing plenty of space for the wires to move enables you to bend the wires back into the weight more giving more grip as below examples.

how much do the above moulds cost

been finding myself thicker gauge wire than the 18in gauge in tricky conditions grip a lot better.

spring steel used to be the wire supplied wth grip leads yrs ago but welding wire etc more and more been used same effect ??

why was spring steel originaly used ?

theres a certain nack how to bend the wires on any grip lock weight as mentioned without rollers ;)

agre with codseeker its the way you bend the wires, a mackem ( canny lad he was ) once showed how he bends his wires adn swore blind his way was best, a have used this method ever since and cannot disagree with him,and would match them with any other way with wires bent
