NESA casting converting to meters

Well-known member
As many of you already know NESA casting club has always used Imperial measurements (yards, feet and inches) . However to bring the club into line with the UKSF , from the June event all casts will be measured in metres and centimetres .
A brand new metric court has been made from high visibility packing/pallet banding , it’s very strong and very accurate .

The groups will be restructured as follows:-

Premier - 240m +

A group - 220m-240m

B group - 200m-220m

C group- 180m -200m

D group - up to 180m

New members will be grouped after first event.
Existing members will be re-grouped upon past achievements after distances have been converted to metric.
The simple rule is as before, for a caster to proceed to a higher a group he/she must exceed the top limit of the group they are in at 2 separate events. The promotion to the higher group will be immediately after the top limit has been exceeded for the second time.
For example
215m in event 1 = placed B group
221m in event 2= stay in B group
223m in event 3 = promoted into A group

The aim is improvement and personal goals. The records have been converted to meters also , have a look , there's a few new ones in amongst them , ie fly casting ! enjoy the read
