Ive been looking at the posts here, there seems to be about an equal number of novices (with respect) as there are experienced fly fishers.
A lot of questions asked, and queries posted.
I was thinking about a NESA.FF. Day out, at Witton Castle.
Ideally, experienced lads, could pair with novices for the day, and pass on any skills, regards, Casting, knots, type of flies. any knowledge that can be passed on really.
I know from experience, Its not easy when you are learning. Maybe you dont want to approach someone for tips in case they shun you.
A NESA FF Day would be a good ice breaker.
Maybe pair up via a draw from the hat, novices, experienced. Morning, coaching and passing on of tips, afternoon a small comp, with maybe a bottle of whisky each to the winning pair (ahem).
I have no objection to helping anyone I can, Im sure more feel the same.
Im by no means an expert, but Id say I know enough to pass on some knowledge.

Mid July??? a sunday or saturday.
How do you all feel about that??
