Lmao :D let me no if this gose a head and much it wood cost coz shood charge 1.50-2.00 and cash made shood go to rnli

Want me to set this up? Id happily run it with you thunderpants? I'll happily design the card you have to photograph with the fishies :)?

Do we need a card? Not everyone has a printer. Just a photo would do I reckon though no problem having a card for anyone who wants one. If we do it like the Lure Fishing Challenge we would just need a table on the first post with the names/species/scores on it the same way. I could do the table. We would need a moderator to make it a sticky. Have we got enough people interested?

Scotty I think it's easier not involve any money, just a bit of fun.

I think the card is there on BSA because its a yearly thing. This could stop people resubmitting a fish the following year, or submitting fish photos that have been taken in the past and say its been caught now. The card means the fish could have only been caught at the time of the comp as it has to be in the picture. Unless someone wants to spend hours superimposing the card into a photo its allot harder to fake. :)

But if its not nessasary and people will play fair then its allright. Was gonna suggest this for the lure fishing challenge this year. As it to me makes it more fair and easier to identify those who like to 'bend' the rules :)

aye agree :D

print ya card off, with 2012 printed on and ya name, catch ya fish, put card next to it, take pic, bobs ya uncle and fannys ya mothers sister.

Chuck my name down for this aswell lads, not that I catch out like lol. Would the fish I catch (if I catch any) for the lure challenge also count for this,? looking forward to these, cracking idea from Scotty aswell as having fun raise a few quid for RNLI. Not sure how plausible it is though.

Yeah a fish is a fish, so if caught on a lure it would be in both challenges.

Yes we could use cards if you all prefer - anyone who doesn't have a printer one of us could print one out and post it to them? It would mean that species caught to date could not be included though since their photos do not have a card.

Nice one mate, I think its better to start afresh to make it a straight playing field.? And yeah a card is cool.

ower on BSA we have 2 hunts going at the same time, noertheast and National, pretty much like the one here yous want to start and ya lure challenge, only difference is, on BSA we cannot count the same fish in both comps

Have we got enought interest to do this yet? Looks like about six people so far maybe. Any more? Here is a table and Wheres The Fish do you still want to design a card?

Yeah mate did the card for you :) Ill upload it when i get in :) You want rules etc? And a good idea might be to make an account called speciesrace << and share login details with eachother so we can manage it? Just an idea :)

Not sure what you mean by an account but go ahead if you think it's useful.

I doubt we need many rules really, just something basic like this....

1. Catch as many different species of sea fish as possible. Each species type scores one point on the table.
2. All fish must be caught by rod and line from the shore. Any tactics, baits or lures may be used. Fish caught by boat/kayak etc are not eligable.
3. Fish can be caught anywhere within the UK.
4. The challenge ends at midnight December 31st 2012.
5. To register a fish post a photograph of it on this thread with the 2012 card also in the picture.

What do you reckon?
