New Penn 525 Mag or Abu 7000 Hi Speed Mag

Alrite lads,

With winter fast approaching I'm looking at a new reel, I've been using slosh 20's which are class but maybe fancy something different. So the question is has anybody used / owns either of the above and if so what are they like?

Any feedback appreciated.

I,ve got the Supermag extra and its lovely-smooth good caster. I put a chrome power handle on and it looks the bizz.
As to the 7000 high speed i cannot really comment but i do have an old 7000 and its ideal for heavier line - say 30lb. It has a level wind which restricts casting distance but it still does canny.
The mag is by far the better caster loaded with 15-18 lb strong low filament line like suffix. After every trip i rinse reel with warm soapy water and when dry spray with wd 40I also take it apart for a better clean say when some sand off the beach gets in-its easy. 3 retaining screws. One side plate off. Centre spool comes out. Use tissue to clean inside then oil with penn lube oil Back together in 10 mins.
