I think its time to treat my self to a new reel since ive been buying the missus loads lately i am looking at the penn surfmaster 8000 and was wondering if anyone on here uses one and if they had and good or bad points on that reel

Hi I don't use fixed spools but on the few threads I've read the penn surfmasters don't get very good reveiws.people always seem to lean toward shimano's and certain Daiwa's.But hopefully someone more in the know will be along shortly to advise better.
