New Reel?

With the boat still delayed and no bloody delivery date in sight yet:(:(:(! I am spending far too much time at work looking at new shiney reels! I know a lot of you's are hardcore dyed in the wool TLD men but has anyone had any experience/use of, heard of anyone elses experience of Fin Nor Marquesa 20's?
They look the part anyway and I am considering a one if anyone has had any good reports on them.

Cheers,

Graham.

I have got two Penn 320ld's Mick and two Okuma Solterra LD's but fancied something else with a higher retrieve and am prepared to sacrifice my level wind for it. The Fin Nor's look bombproof and that is the main draw coupled with the faster retrieve.

There's a review of them on planet sea fishing Graham, not for me but thats just because I don't like lever drag reels. I use a shimano tekota, very tuff, quality star drag and a line counter - suits my needs.

I've just started using an avet Graham, it's taking a bit of getting used to , but it should outlast the abu's I've been using which seem to be a lot flimsier.
A couple of things I'm finding difficult are the lack of level wind , which isn't such a big problem , and the abu would click back into gear at the turn of the handle whilst the avet has to be put into gear manually and i keep forgetting and turning the handle :red:
If I buy another , I'll buy the more expensive two speed with the magic cast , never thought I'd need magic cast (which is a sort of drag for casting) on a boat, but the line comes off the reel so fast in freespool you have to watch it like a hawk :o
I like the look of the new snowbee deep blue multiplier as well , and the accurates, all expensive reels, but they should last a lifetime and more importantly , they come in left hand wind which is something I would really struggle to do without after 50 years of winding that way :D

I will look at Planet sea fishing Colin and check out the snowbee's as well Ray.
The Aussies and Kiwi's on the ship at the minute rave on about the Fin Nor's and the fact that they are shiney as well puts them top of the list!;)

Graham.
