As i've said many times nowt wrong with greys rods(used them for years now and no problems at all with mine).
I know loads of lads with a whole different range of rods that have snapped. The last 3 i know of are a Conoflex Anubis which snapped in kelp! Century TTR Big Daddy again snapped in kelp and a Greys rod which one of our club lads managed to snap but admits it was all his own fault!
I was fishing a Tynemouth match on the pier when the lad next to had his tip snap off his rod.....Greys i think BUT he went back too far for the cast and snacked the rod off the wall
The greys rods were probs repaired for £40 max but the other 2 i know cost a lot more and took a long time (one still not sorted) to fix.
If YOU are careful with your rod you should be fine. Anyone can snap a rod if they try hard enough.
I got rid of my Tip Tornado Sport and Wr300 when i got my Apollo Mk3!
