Thinking of gettin rid of the WR300 (can't use it really) and gettin something a bit more suitable for me. Am not gettin any younger. Lookin for some ideas on what to get. Maybe a zippy or something. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Cheers

Depends what you fish but a more user freindly rough ground rod wouldd be a tip tornado sport. Tbe rough grohnd zippys are the xtr, m427 su zeteque or zeteque txl slightly more user freindly than a wr but stiffer, lighter and thinner. Down to budget and your own preferences and what ground you mainly fish
I sold my orion Mk2 for £50 it was brand new , tbh I wouldn't buy a Grey's rod , the rings are cheap crap and disintegrate if the rod falls , the Apollo mk2 however had decent rings that take a knock , the supro , orion etc , cheap n nasty.
Like phil says the tip tornado is a good all round choice or maybe a komp s q3 will put a lead and bait a long way ouy your more than welcome to borrow mine gordon try b4 u buy so man to choose from if you wanted a zippy I would go for a m4 or m4 evo nice and slim

M4 Evo is pretty much spot on for SS pier, I use mine off there whenever I fish it. Slim and very light but plenty powerful enough for all but the proper rough ground marks
