Don't get one I had sk 4 and snapped it in 12 weeks ov using it. They s::t put your money to some better iv got a century crest now the best all rounder
Hi
I was looking for a new rod the other week and was thinking of the sonik but when out fishing i was being told by other lads that they knew of them snapping so i went with a Rovex big boss 13ft it cost me £89 from Johns on the Headland in Hartlepool and it is smashing. Its steady and i have been using it on heavy ground around Hartlepool and had no problems with it at all.
I bought the Sonik Sk3 14ft 5-7oz, had it about 3yrs its never let me down and i fish some of the roughest marks north of the Tyne, heard about some problems but you get that with a lot of rods look at the probs people had with Greys rods. I think the Sonik range of rods are great value for money, thinking of buying the Sk4 aswell.
my cousins also got the original orion, but doesnt care much for his gear n he snapped about 9inches of the tip. he just put a new eye on, its like a bloomin broomshank!! doent even bend hardly when he casts...
i use greys rods all the time iv used mk 1, 2 and 3 apollo's there all mint nice and stiff for the winter have a look up the greys shop at anlwick you'll pick up a good rod in the ex sale part i got a mk2 apollo last year for me oldest lad i only paid £100 the only sonik rod i own is the bass rod its very good
I have used the sonik sk3 14ft 5-7oz since they came out, it has never let me down, the tales of shoddy eyes dont hold up, mine has fallen off the tripod onto stone ground several times and is still in perfect condition as a matter of fact i have bought another as a back up, well impressed.
