If u want a good winter rod and cheep get ya self a ron thompson accelerator the 6oz to 8oz 13-6inch they cost about £130 they spot on mate

sonik site has some great rods on offer if your budget runs that far. if not glasgow angling has some great deals on greys and other makes on there site as well. sometimes anglers win rods in opens but sell them on at lower than shop prices. worth asking on here.
