May invest in a 20-30lb rod for Norway, something that bends through the butt, able to take a good sized fish but not stiff so that it spoils the fun for the normal size 3-5lb fish????? mmmrrrr what to get

what about a fladen solid carbon 20 - 40lb ultra thin at the tip, you will get a good bend in that. i have got the next one down 10 - 20lb bends double with a 10oz weight on.

N/E,
Just received the MTI 15lb and 20/40 rods from Spotty Dog tackle today, by far the cheapest.
I have not had a chance to use them yet, but you can tell they are going to be cracking rods.
The build quality is superb and the best fuji rings and reels seats on them.
We will be going for a sniff around the wks when the tides drop off a bit, anyway I will let you
know how they perform !!!!!!!

I guess you must of never turned around when i was having a pee on the boat,,,,,not much screaming would be going on :)

Is this got anything to do with the rumour I heard of a former crew member who couldnt find a hook small enough to put the worm on. :p
Look:eek:, I was to busy sleeping

Not really looked the last few days, will start again soon but skint now anyway so it will need to be Feb before i purchase one, still loads of time anyway.

Hi Richy, Hope you had a good Christmas. The 20lb-30lb I've just bought a couple of months ago is the Sonik sk3 and find it excellent. It puts a nice bend in it with just a smallish whiting, and would easily handle something a lot bigger, and at £59-95 wo'nt break the bank.
All the best for the new year too.
