new to boat fishing help needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this advice gets better and better steve whats the price of leads from i.d fishing mate and what do i take on to the boat my tackle box or a ruck sack with my gear in ? i really aint got a clue lads cheers for the help so far

ok might knock that one on the head as i dont wanna **** the skipper off on my first trip (have you seen what pirates do) i aint walking no plank lol

just need a rough price on weights

I use a rucksack type thing mate ,and boat weights ,well I buy mine from sinkermanallen a NESA member and purveyor of well priced things made of lead ,tackle shops are dear 80p or so a shot from memory ,but as Norman says if you don't lose them then you can use them next time,.

Take the box m8 only kidding - take plenty weights probably nearly a pound a pop for 12 - 16 0z 10-15 should do. Easiest way to save on tackle is just to let it down about 3 foot (whatch for the prop) and leave it there. You may get a sunfish or portuguese man o war. You'll allus get the lead back though. :p

as steve sugested sinkerman allan he does all sorts of weights / lead heads ect
i my self will be selling lead weights this year but for shore work gripaway leads

around the 30/40 p each mark depending on cost of things i need
so keep me in mind lol
and main thing is when on the boat enjoy yourself

right so all in all i need about 15 weights maybe 20 some warm and waterproof clothing (riggerboots as dont like wellys) about 20 rigs also not to forget rod and reel that would be a laugh and ill keep you inmind for them weights mate (is the lead just normal lead as ive got a couple of rolls under the stairs i think i'd have a go at making my own for timebeing

my rod and reel turned up today and im really pleased with them only thing is im not very good with multipliers lol as i normally use a fixed spool reel other thing is it clicks constant when im reeling in is it meant to do this as my other one doesnt (bought 2 of the same reels) both make the same noise and it aint the drag thing lol anyone shed some light on this please

The ratchet on the side must be switched on. Its a sort of bite indicater. Should be a sliding type switch which goes backwards and forwards. When the spool turns in makes a noise.

My abu 7000 has one which i have never used.
