Welcome to NESA.
You've got all the rock marks around Newbiggin and the beaches at Cresswell, Duridge, Hadston and then Amble area including the Pier.
like the previous member wrote, Crab is the bait, but worms have a place on the hook as well.
Local tackle shop is Mcdermotts in Ashington where you can get fresh bait etc.
Tight lines:D

Alnmouth beach is good for flounders. Craster is generally good as is dunstanburgh castle rocks float fishing for pollack. newbiggin is generally always good. Blyth seems to be fishing good for mackerel still. As far as tackle shops go i dont think you can beat amble angling centre very helpful people and stock a wide range of tackle.

We'll come to nest mate assuming u drive u ain't got to far to go to land on some great coast line. Hope you catch plenty of fish watch out on those rock marks stay safe... :)
