New to NESA and fishing.....my first report!

I've been at the sea fishing lark for a mere 6 weeks and have finally got sorted with an account on the mighty NESA site!

I must say that the reports and the craic on the forum is absolutely spot on. I have picked up tons of useful tips on tackle, bait, rigs and marks in a short time. God knows what state my fishing would have been without your collective reports.

Last Monday you guys helped me land my first ever size cod at a whopping (not!) 43cms from Hebburn Marina. I fished the grassy part next to the ramp with the fish caught on a rag lug cocktail and the tide just starting to ebb (not the prettiest of presented baits mind you - I'm still working on this part of my fishing) I landed another 3 small cod and a skinny whitey that were well under size to say the least.

I'm going to make a point of posting on here every single time I fish - El blanco or not I will pen a little post with the necessary details to either help someone fish a decent mark or more probably avoid a crappy spot!

I'm always keen to meet other lads off the site so if you happen to see a thirty something year old with a oversized greys triplex and massive stupid fixed spool reel fumbling around like a bloody idiot trying to bait a hook and then cast pop over and say hello!

Cheers boys, look out for another report on Friday, good or most probably bad I'll be posting it on here!

Just enjoy your fishing mate and nothing wrong with using a fixed spool I use a f/s and multi they both have there uses

Welcome mate, a baiting needle will much improve your presentation and you will get a few more worms onto your hooks/s.

Welcome to the site/forum mate, nothing wrong with a fixed spool at all.. I used one for years only just got the hang of my multi's :).
