Well, now that the big day is over, what did santa bring ya's all. I got a new salt water Penn fixed spool with braid for the start of next season
Might be MAY before it stops atrhur ....... but I'm sure it will sometime
Santa was good, I'm busy getting kitted out with making new secret weapons (end tackle) for the 2013 season ... fingers crossed ...

Got myself new filleting knife and need to get loads of traces made for when we can get boat out.

I was given a set of cotton hankies which is a first, and will do for the next charity collection or school tombola. 
The boat will get a fine new pair of mooring lines and 13l of semi-synthetic oil on special offer at asda.
Ray, have you tried running the cod filets under warm water, the skin just drops off then?

How does that work Kevin? Skin them as normal only in warm water? Never heard of it before.

Intriguing Norm, the plot thickens
I got a snowbee deep blue multiplier and a new fillet knife , much longer than the ones I use currently , once them cod get above 5 or 6lb it's hard to get the skin off them with a short knife , hope I get some too big for this new knife
I know what you mean about too short a blade for skinning Ray, been using the kitchen knife with a 10" blade to do the job

does the gold card have a girly voice like tom tom sat nav.....
"you have reached your wreck destination"....( in a girls voice )
The only voices you hear Rob.......are the ones in your head....
The pikeys are in the YC compound....in a campervan.....parked next to your boat......
Got the wife a pair of fur lined wellies for the boat, and I got an Alderney ring. Looked at a couple of tutorials on how to use one on the internet. I'm sure it's not as dangerous as it looks
Only if ya pull the stern cleat off along with the back of the boat if you've got too strong an anchor that gets totally fast. Oh! and watch for the rope going round the prop, or the rear of the boat gets swamped if you don't get the power off quick enough
