With the weather being stubborn again, i decided to cheer myself up with a trip to Moonfleet Angling along with Deano.

Bought this new rod ready for the season,


Its a nice shop, and the staff are good craic, so definately be going back...:)
 
Can I ask how much they are? Been toying with getting new guides fitted to the Maxximus but might just go for a new rod.
 
Very nice chris, must have been reading my mind, I have been using a pair of maxximus solid carbons but after 3 seasons rings are totally knacked and reel seat gave way last weekend, like Keith was planning on getting them re built but had the saltist braid special recommended so had one delivered yesterday, I think it is based on the same blank as the kenzaki braid. Hoping for a lucky nip out early Monday if that wind drops and sea eases off enough to christen it!
 
Dave,.... Keith has mentioned the Saltist as well, must be 2 good rods for the money and the lads on here seemed pleased with theirs....:)
 
Got the 20/30lb Salistist Braid Special for this season, jury is still out but I'm warming to it so far so good. Purchased from TackleUk think the price was £#!*+?!
