New Years Eve Lunker from Blyth pier

Me and Geordie fished at the end of the pier that night, and was I well chuffed with a 2 pounder (first keeper of the year). We saw the 9 pounder when we were leaving, and it was that big that it was hanging oot of his fishing bag. I might not have caught it, but it made my night seeing it.

Only two other fish caught after you left.
I had another one of about 1lb which I returned (you would have only been half way off the pier then).
And the lad that was on the straight had one of about 2lb.

Just hope it does not take me another 30yr to get my next goal from the shore, a double figure fish

in 30yr it will be alot more special to catch a double figure fish from the shore...
