Ive just been to Cornwall on Holiday. Took the above mentioned Rod but Blanked.
While there I purchased Sea Angler.
Basically I think the fishing bug has bitten again. I live Gateshead and have transport so this hobby/sport is now viable for me.
Now Im back home with internet access Im excitedly seeing what info is out there.
NESA seem's to be the obvious Forum.
Ive found Phill_itofish Fishing Marks, South Shields Surf Report
Im specifically looking for advice/ weblinks on Rigs/Hook Sizes/Line Types/Knots for hooks and weights for the type of fishing of the North East Coast.
Im also looking to buy a new reel to go with the old rod. The reel I have at the moment is a Penn Squider (in as new condition) its not really a beach reel. Ive noted the Penn 515Mag2 which is on sale at the moment at many web dealers.
The type of fishing I will be doing is whatever's good the day I have the time to fish, and the weather/tide is favourable, so Beach Rock or Pier.
