Newbie-----Caught My First Fish Today.

I always fancied giving this fishing malarkey a whirl so I booked a spot on The JFK Two Today (Wednesday 20th April).

I've never fished before but it was something I always said I would do when I retired from work.

I newbie I didn't really know what to expect but the guys on the boat were helpful and I really enjoyed the experience. I'll be making more bookings with Allan in the not too distant future.

I seem to recall that approx. 30 fish were caught today a mix of cod, ling and a Pollack

Thanks for all the messages of support regarding success.…to be honest I thought my sinker had got caught on the wreck as I was having a bit of a struggle trying to reel the line back in.
Allan was on hand to help me sort out the problem out but when he leaned over the boat to grab my line he explained that I had a fish on the end of the hook!... (it was one of those funny little episodes that will stick with me for a good while)
I have to agree with the comments from other members regarding The JFK Two and the skipper…..they make a fine team.

I should also mention that I missed the boat.....its a rather long winded story and it was my fault but a quick call to Allan to explain my predicament was quickly resolved......he came back across from Mill Dam to the Royal Quays and picked me up.....gestures like that mean quite a lot to me.
