Newbie Intro !

Hi there and what a fab site you's have ! I'm back fishing after 20yrs and have been watching the site for a while but thought its time for an introduction. Last session was at Sandy Bay in 1994 but last 3/4 months the URGE to start again was like a drug lol. got myself a Shaky Surf mx, 2nd hand Slosh and Mag 525 usa and I've fished twice .. best a few codlings on first trip out. Plan to do more rock, rough ground fishing this winter and got my eye on two rods but can't decide or get enough info of web.

Abu suveran xp 13ft or the Daiwa 13ft surf breaker rg both under 150 which suits me for now. Has the abu a reducer seems some have and some don't? if so not keen as I cast up. First cast after 20yrs with a multi on Shields pier.

Not sure about those rods, but welcome to NESA. I'm fairly new myself, but almost as addicted to NESA as I am to fishing! Keep up with the pics and catch reports!

Nice catches and gear mate. NESA is what got me into fishing again after trolling around for a while lol
 
Nothing wrong with the agility mate, underrated rod as I have said on here before...I have the salt xt aswell, very similar rod just extra length and I use it for the beach no problems.

got the reels after trolling on here. when I was a lad it was a Abu or Mitchell Garcia multis, well that's what the men had on Sth Shields pier when I was a kid, but amazed how quick I got the feel of casting with a multi again, its just the knots I'm struggling with lol

I can vouch for Andy being addicted lol! :D oh, welcome!! Not sure on the rods either, is it a rough ground rod or mixed ground rod your after?

Its really a good rod, but it has a reducer so its either 13ft 6, or 12ft. I'm just starting out again, so the 12 is great but rod is only given a foam plug if not using reducer, a rubber but plug would of been better but I'm keeping as it and honestly cant fault it to be honest.

Its a rough ground mate, been watching a couple of rods on flea bay but only have £150 and these 2 rods fit the bill till she knows I'm serious about starting up again and I am ! Abu suveran xp or Daiwa surf breaker (blue butt) both 13ft ?
 
Mag, send a message to jarrowdisco on here... He buys and sells a lot of rods... When I spoke with him a few days ago he had a few good second hand rods for sale.... Much better off buying a good second hand rod instead of a cheaper one
