Going to go and get a starter kit through the week, and going to give it a go at weekend, never fly fished before, just casted a little bit using a mates rod. Just wanted to know which flies are best for this time of year, in this area? I think that ive heard on tv that you need to look at which flies are around at this time of year, so does any1 know which flies are? lol

where will you be fishing mate? try cats whiskers and damsels they have been fishing well at seaham and if you can get hold of them try scuds
