NEWCASTLE

cant see the joke here myself ?

these 2 blokes get paid 60 thousand a week to be professional and they behave like that, what sort of example is that to set for young up and coming kids ?next time you go to watch a school football game dont be suprised if you see the game resulting in a punch up ,\"after all if these 2 can do it why cant we\"thats the lesson thats being taught, what happend was nothing short of a disgrace and they should both be given the boot and a heavy fine ,if they want to fight maybe they should get out of football and take up boxing, they have buggerd up what could have been a decent end to the season...stupid !!!

I\'ll be suprised (and dissappointed) if they are both still there next year. Problem is who\'d have em. Never liked bowyer, complete liability. and dyer well.......the guy should be doing a 3 strech at the least

wouldn\'t want to be in their shoes come the end of the season. lets face it, after seeming like things were settling, we\'ll likley get stuffed by the Mancs, for which they will get blamed, and possibly rightly so, and ditto UEFA cup.

The fans will blame em for sure

wondering if fat freddie has been watching Celtic and wondering If he can get Bellamy back!!!!!

Bowyer has been fined 6 weeks wages totalling £250,000 or thereabouts. Dyer.....as it was not his fault he will npt be punished and NUFC will appeal his red card.....

The police IMO have to be seen to do something.....They should at least arrest Bowyer, cos if they don\'t then they can never be seen to arrest anyone in the Grounds of St James for the same thing....cannot have the one rule for one and another for everyone else here....if it had been 2 Joe Public then they would have been carted off to Pilgrim Street Cop shop as soon as oot....But because they were on national tv then they can be left for a couple of days.

Even if they did arrest Bowyer and Dyer did not press charges then fine I would be happier with that then for the police not to do anything at all.

Well I think the 2 idiots have brought the game into disrepute. As NUFC are the employers of them, NUFC should be seen to be punished for employing idiots.

I suggest relegation to the Vauxhall Conference, a transfer embargo placed on NUFC for the next 10 years and St James park demolished and replaced with a boxing ring. :D

The interesting thing is, if the police charge them, and one or both is found guilty, they will be banned from every football ground in the country !!

This is the punishment for violence at football matches.

If the incident had happened in Scotland, the police would have been obliged to go onto the pitch and arrest them both.

Same old, same old I\'m afraid.

Young men with too few brains and an obscene amount of money at their disposal.
They fail to recognise the rules by which the \"real\" world lives. They are closeted, fawned upon and given the best of everything - this leads to unrealistic expectations and somehow they seem to assume a sense of invincibility

Whilst it\'s wrong to critisise how people spend their money however they earn it - was it really very smart of Dyer to make a point of wearing his big chunky diamond earrings whilst trying to deliver a \"heartfelt apology\" to us silly buggers who contribute to his wage packet?
A sense of value, a perspective on life, an appreciation of the real world - I think not?

Toon fan since my first match - 1960!

Strong words Davy lol.canny idea though,Toon fans could come down to yours for a laugh, might fill the place up :D
Still say it though P45,its already been said but someone has got to stand up to these prats and start sacking a few, look at Jermaine Pennant excellent role model he is,out of nick for 48 hours and playing with a tag on,we\'ve got to blame the clubs as much as the players they let them get away with murder.

The police can do nothing once a player has stepped onto the pitch- violent conduct is dealt with via the FA - only in Scotland where the rule was changed (7yrs ago i think) are the police allowed to arrest players - if this had happened in the tunnel area ,then that is a differant matter ,but even then i doubt if the match Commander would have done anything - it has never been done in any other game so why try it now - and as for being arrested at your normal place of work - do you get howling abuse from your customers if you make a mistake, do your collegeues rant and rave if you dont manage to fulfill your objective for the day and do you get kicked for ninety minutes from your compitition, then are expected to be nice to one and all at work - yes i agree that they were a wee bit naughty but its a game where you are under so much pressure to achieve so much and the red mist is a thing that happens - so if they were to get sacked WHERE do you replace good players ,who were at worst having a row at work at best giving me more value for my season ticket - as the match was lost anyway.

i laughed at george best the other day in the paper going on about players being role models
if everyone followed his roll

we all would be pizz tanks

nuff said

Can\'t see what you are all complaining about. As Graham Souness has stated \"They have been speaking to each other over the weekend and have had a laugh about it \".
No problem there then Graham lmfao.

Bri H,Its still setting a bad example to the kids, football is a family game these days and its beamed all over the world, dont think the sponsors will be too chuffed either.
Jim think the club are digging a bigger hole for them selves by saying \"they are speaking to each other\" \"had a laugh about it\"
Best was probably pi##ed when he said that lol
Wonder if Dyer has been sniffing around Bowyers chick :o
ex now.....
