Well just got back from the toon match...it was nice being out the bottom free for them 4 days anyway lol.

Had no luck today and not as much passion as we did against Boro.

The nails are all in and its in possition above the hole, just waiting for next Sat for it to be lowered.

Be nice to play in the championship, we may win a match or two...going to car buddy with my mate as he is a mackum and knows the stadiums well :)

sunday next week could be a bad day for the northeast. Both in footballing and the revenue it brings to the area. Sorry Rich but disagree on the passion bit against boro - i did not see any passion just two crap teams playing football with the not as crap team winning.

So despite silly marina fees you're gonna leave that lovely boat tied up and drive the up and down the country with a mackem to follow the toon - very commendable :)

To be fair Jason, you'd think they'd won the league at the end.

Too many empty seats at The Riverside today.

By the way I'm not gloating, cos I still fully expect our lot to cock it up, seen it so many times before.

Even when all is said and done I don't think gloating is the right thing to do for whichever team stays up ,just my oppinion mind you but it'd be great for all three teams to stay up .

I ,like most ,work with opposition supporters who are more interested in how bad the other teams are doing than how their team is fairing ....which is not only wrong but sad ....

To quote one lad " I don't care about Sunderlands score as long as the toon get beat " .

I know there will be some toon fans saying the same thing about Sunderland but my thoughts are that these people aren't footy fans at all but DO stir up bad feeling rather than healthy rivalry .

I agree mate, but I was in the fulwell end many moons ago when Gillingham sent us to the third tier and there was more than one or two mags (I say mags cos the toon army wasn't invented in those days) who turned up just to gloat. Just hope a few of them have a memory as good as mine should things go wrong for them next week.

The annoying thing is that it's the club that gets relegated not the players that played sh*te in the first place - rats from sinking ships springs to mind

There'll be more than a handfull of first teamers still able to ply their trade in the Premier League next year should Newcastle go down

maybe the gloaters should get it over and done with in here before next week is out!

mine goes either:

humble apologies for us staying up at the the expense of you going down, we're all crap and it had to be one of us

or

well done for staying up at the expense of us going down, we're all crap and it had to be one of us

or

jeesus how the hell did the baggies manage to escape again, we're all buggered now

I was there as well Keith, and I've never forgotten it either. I know a lot of decent black and whites, but if I gloat next week, its purely towards the likes of those who were there that day.

Aye fair enough lads ,it's a shame it ever got to this though eh ,still at least it'll give Newcastle a chance to shed some dead wood ....there's plenty of it to shed

I still think Sunderland are safe, i cant see Hull winning and Newcastle winning to put you down.

Sunderland and newcastle have better goal diff over Hull but no way will both of us win anyway.

Your safe...hope am wrong but bottom 3 will go down as it stands, no change on the last day :(

think sunderland are definately safe, can't see hull turning the mancs over, we need a point from villa to get through on goal difference, boro need to win by a cricket score, or hull to loose by one if boro win win 1-0 and we lose (I think!)

either us or boro are definately going doon I reckon
