hi, years ago niel kelland did was it 306yds at a sea angler casting event plus a few other casts over 300yds with 175grm lead i dont no how many years ago but a few but is this the only person closet to danny or on par, how would niel do now with modern equipment as modern technology is supposed to be better

dave if it was,nt for some of the lads the likes of kelland to name just one were would we be now i have a hell of a lot of respect for quite a few of the older hands ,quite a bit talk about flat pend /cross tip what type of cast did kelland do,this guy to me was quite awsome .i realy just put this topic up to remind people just what has been achieved in the past and not to have a pot at danny how could i his results speak for themselves.hers a one for you dave pt i believe has done 295yds before and he is not the size of kelland . pt along with other casters i know in my area are probaly to modest to mention there distances, my mate steve as you know whats he going to do if he puts his mind to it and if he realy wants to. forgot to mention also about living in the past a guy from italy has been asking me if i have any footage of kelland casting why i wonder.one final word on your behalf about danny yes special

goooo,on john, nowt wrong with remembering the past greats, especialy if you were about at the time. lets go back to the likes of peter bagnall and what he did with a.b.u rods and abu 6000 reals, and this at a time when they accused him of being a pro, just because he was SPONSORED. lets hear more about the old casters, who would have thought they had died and gone to heaven if they had the technology thrown at them thats on the go today.
if us old-timers want to reminisce i cant see the harm in it

right oh then i started thread so i can change a little my mest mate keeps going on about les baldry small than mackellow and only about 6yds behind someone called bazz an old fart but used to be good they reckon jim ingledew remember him old chukka and what about the old fart john robson i think they called him. i think we are going to have to start an old timers casting forum off here what do you reckon old chukka

i will go one better ANDY GREEN smaller than PT and doing 300yds
And i know Andy is little as i was casting with him sunday he was hitting
240m about a a foot out of court.. so he still has it.

bazz have u been drinking brownnnnnnnnn ale again, theres a great clip of kelland casting on the net somewere i should of saved it searched all over for it but cant find it was very clear,i do have him on vid at uksf when the north east mob were there the likes of the likely lads the harbour lot donkin/ gary/ yourself
