No cod were harmed in this catch report!

Id planned this assault all week, with the sea raging on Wednesday and the winds due to swing westerly on Thursday I decided to return to my favorite stretch of coastline in our region, and the one that has coughed up the most cod for me this winter - The leas.
But when I got there at midnight the sea had dropped flat, with no groundswell to speak of. I decided to fish frenchmans point. The plan being to move round to Johnson's or the black path later on. But with so little movement on the water I stuck it out and managed these.

There must have been hundreds of them there, these were the only ones I kept as they'd swallowed my 4/0 vikings. Strangely no coalfish showed?
This made me laugh! Greedy bugger!

I might have managed a cod if I could have gotten through the flatties!
Eventually I ran out of bait and called it a night at about 5am.
There were loads of lads on south sheilds pier, hope they fared better!
Regards, Rocker.

Cheers Deans, it was a coinflip as to weather to fish the north drum or the leas, I'm pleased I chose the leas, bad luck on ya session mate. But I love the north drum, my ashes are goin off the end of there when I'm done! :o:o:)

Nice report mate, I would probably fall off the cliffs trying to fish there in the dark haha, well done on the fish.

Cheers Pete, I'm sure you'd be fine, and the flounder will feed just as hard during the day! So get ya ass down there mate! :)
I would have had a barra full if I was fishin for em!
