nathen lads and lasses, i was hoping to come on here today to blag about all the cod we caught on saturday, unfortunatly recieved a call on friday night to tell us that our trip out of hartlepool was off, due to force 4-5 offshore, and fog, did anybody manage to get out, elsewhere,. we were all gutted, thought we were 100% certain to go with the weather forecasts being so good, anyway we have re-booked for july2nd, looks like miggy pier on wednesday night to satisfy our craving.

Me & my mate went out from Hartlepool in my little RIB, and we weren\'t the only boat out. Pretty much flat calm most of the day - went out at 22 knots! Wind started to get up a bit when we returned (about 3pm), though still nothing to bother us, let alone a charter boat. Visibility was a bit murky, but to be fair, around 2 miles all day. We just caught a few whiting, but nice to be out.
Sounds like your skipper was a bit keen to call off, at least without waiting until the day itself.

hi,we were due to go out on the enterprise with tony stevens, approx20-30 miles off shore, went up to hartlepool sat lunch to watch the match with the trip off, boat was tied up, i suppose he had to make a decision friday night what with us living 100 miles away, did anybody go out that far
Personally in your shoes I\'d have settled for a less ambitious trip if the weather wasn\'t good for that far offshore.
Also, surely 20-30 miles is a long trip in Enterprise - I doubt if she does over 10 knots - that\'s a high steaming to fishing ratio, four hours of an eight hour trip spent getting there & back.
I\'ve always fancied a trip on Flamer myself, but he\'s always booked up for when I can go.
