I fished North Gare from 2pm till roughly 6pm, bait used, rag worm, razor fish amd squid. Out of 4 lads fishing not one of us got a bite all day !!!!! Very disappointing, but good place to fish. Weather was fantastic so managed to get a tan but no fish. Recommend this spot. :)

There is a car park which is about a ten minute walk to the pier, there are opening times to the gate of the car park which i am not sure about, think its 8.30 summer time, but dont quote me on this one!

The ground from the beginning of the pier to the middle is sandy bottom and at the end of the pier is rough ground - so expect to loose a few riggs. There is a pipe to the left of the pier this is the outlet pipe for the power station, so this is warm water and apparently a few bass caught here. a few codling and whites.

The pipe in the photo s the sh-t pipe. All the waste now is treated. Years ago it was a big old metal pipe which was out of the sand. At low water you could look down it from the end. Had a big grill on it. Used to see loads of tampax on the beach.
Reminds me of the the transporter bridge. One day years ago i was crossing when i seen a massive turd floating past on its way out to the North Sea.
Mick.

Sorry the pipes on tommys photos.

Take a spinning rod with you next time , thats exactly where I got my first bass on a lure.

Its a lot safer to park at Seaton & walk up the beach , no time limit either.
