North of Newbiggin and very rough

Called into Newbiggin to get some bait then straight onto the beach, one look and I thought it was unfishable, cast out and found I could hold bottom ok, first cast nothing, second cast a nice fresh looking 3 1/2lb codling, didn't get anything else wind got up to the point of being scary, couldn't leave go of my rod otherwise the rod and rest was straight over. Every cast bow in line about 50 yards up the beach, sea turned from rough to impossible. Be back tomorrow though if the wind / sea backs off a bit.

Gor blimey M80. You deserve a sprag. I've been down for a look. There's a nice South Easterly brewing forecast to turn East tomorrow and back off. It could be canny but the wind's been all ower the last few days .....

I'd always be willing to help anyone out and show them new marks, trouble is I normally decide to go fishing at the drop of a hat. I'll probably be going out on Tuesday night straight after work at 23:00, I'll have my gear with me but won't decide for definite until late on. You could always pop up to Newbiggin buy your bait from CD tackle and ask him where the local marks are, he's a very helpfull chap, he put me on to most of the marks that I know.
