weekend i fished north of the tyne to try end this blanking run ,forcast for wind was looking fine arriving on the mark wasnt that bad set up gear things was very quiet changed bait combination to lug and crab then the first fish turned up a codling 35cm,s first of the season ,followed by another codling undersize ,wind picked up a bit took by surprise a gust took both mine and mates stands over resulting in 2 bust rod eyes for me and one of me mates ,we moved a 100 yards further on casting at close range more undersize fish but fish atleast codling ,size whiting and me mate was struggling at this time managed a small codling to kill hes nights blanking ,followed then by a cracking bite which ave never seen him shift so fast in my life a size coalie it turned out to be ,we managed 9 fish between us at this mark which some others seemed to not had nothing at all will be giving it another bash soon maybe on a good stir considering the conditions and not much about at the minute

nor its a stumpy cod cos it been on the baccy smoking stunts ya growth lol
