fished the quay for a couple of hours last night loads of knocks then had a cracking bite nearly pulled my rod off the stand only for it to snap my line far too easily nightmare
just spooled my reel with 20lb red ice but think it must have been a dodgy batch of line far too easy to snap
but on the plus side it was good to get out and it was a nice night

Unfortunate mate, at least u got out and gave it ago.

Bare in mind there may be nothing wrong with your line, that place is riddled with fraid ropes and chains from the trawlers there. That could of easily snapped your line when pulled against them. All depends where u fished on the quay too.

was a bite deffo was that quick it went under the quay itself but only lost 1 other rig all session but that was when i changed my reel and that was to heavy seaweed
we were beside sambuca's
im used to fly fishing and the one i lost would have been a canny fish by the feel and speed of the bite
but yeah it was nice to be out the house
