fished the old lifeboat section with squid & macky ,got there when it was still light & the only thing i caught was a old bit of carpet !! ? , as it got dark some chavs started sporting their corsa's around the car park so i watched them for a while (hoping one would roll it) then back to watching the rod tips , i caught something out the corner of my i so switced my light on and had a look down .there was a big rat trying to steal my bait from the chopping board next to my box and a couple hanging around about 2 foot away .that was the end of that session , the place is crawling with em :exclam:

Rats don't scare me tho and like you say the Charvas playing "Too Fast, Too Furious" in their 1.2 Novas is quite amusing and you do secretly hope they might hurt themselves (but not innocent by-standers)

Last time me and Tony were down there we heard them screeving round and i was sure i heard people screaming........anyway when i pulled out the carpark there was a corsa lying against the wall all smashed in on 1 side didn't look like anyone was hurt but it'll have cost them a bit to fix

I was out with the ex gf last year walking her home past the carpark just before you get to St Mary's. Some of them were spinning their car in circles and revving way over the top. As I was looking we had the pleasure of watching them turn the car perfectly over onto its lid. The looks on their faces as they climbed out, stunned, was priceless. Staring at the upside down Corsa. Utterly hilarious.

I always get twonks in 900 cc corsas trying to raace me, as if they could beat 200hp??

Anyway i dont race i normally slow down, not rising to their bait p155es them off more!

Sat once with the bairn at the fish quay, he pipes up "aww, look at the bunny..." great big rat. I like rats though, we had 19 at one time when we bred them. photo from a few years ago:

Know what you mean about the chav idiots, we had a 1.0 micra with 3 idiots in trying to race us when we were in one of the porsches driving from Whitley to Sluice, eventually passed us doing about 50 in the 30 zone.

I only know 2 rats, 1 has ran away and the other is abit more "wise"

If im going fishing where i know rats are i take my jack russell she hates them.
But she disposes of them very quickly.
