Went out on north star for for the first time today,5 fishing plus skipper jim and crewman chris.After a warm welcome and a cup of tea we set off hopeing to find some fish.It proved to be a frustrating day with just a few fish showing despite the best efforts of skipper jim who tried lots of wrecks, rough ground marks with not much showing.Fishing started to get difficult as the wind got strong and the drift was fast.Jim was constantly on the phone to other skippers to try to find us fish but everyone else was finding it tough with just a few collies showing on one boat after a morning wrecking.We called it a day at 4pm with lots of mackeral and whiteys and one cod and ling to show for our efforts.I must say jim and chris were very helpfull to everyone putting their own fishing 2nd to looking after every one else.Would highly recommend this boat and am looking forward to my next trip on north star.

This is a public apology to Jim the skipper of North Star.I provisionally booked a trip for 25 Sept but for reason I will explain could'nt make it.
1. The lads I thought would go couldn't,which does,nt go any way to me forgetting to tell Jim we would'nt be going.
2. I didn't get his reminder phone call till the Tuesday,as that was the day I came out of the hospital.I was in from Saurday till Tuesday with a kidney problem.
So once again Jim sorry mate.
