went out with the lads from work yesterday with Jim on North star.
sea was a bit snotty first thing but soon flattened out as the wind dropped off and the sun came out.
plenty makeral about first thing, so plenty fresh bait.
odd cod and ling to 7lb showing with the usual whiting and scotchies.
hit a wreck in the afternoon which produced some nice cod and ling.
a pb ling for me at 12lb 10 and sweep winner.

cheers Jim cracking day.

It turned out ok in the end Chris some nice fish to show for your efforts well done to all your lads today was the complete opposite with the fish coming in the morning starting from the first stop then once we got the tide change it dropped off for us but still some nice fish today also

Aye - we had a great day out, and the weather and sea conditions improved by the hour and held good for the best part of the day. Everybody in the party had fish. This was my first trip out of Hartlepool, and my first trip out on the North Star. Skipper Jim and Crewman Norman were a great help when they were needed to land fish and help unravel the odd tangled lines. Looking forward to another trip out again on the North Star. This is how a charter boat fishing trip should be. :):thumbup:
