Northerlies yahhhhhhhhooooooooooooo

Cullercoats

From 1800 UTC Thu 22 Nov to 1800 UTC Sun 25 Nov

On Thursday evening the Cullercoats region will lie between a deep low to the west of northwest Scotland and a large anticyclone across Russia. A transient ridge will collapse early Friday as the low moves northeastwards. By midday Saturday the low is expected centred to the east of Iceland, whilst the anticyclone gradually moves away east. Pressure then starts to build across the region but a further trough will approach from the west. Gale to severe gale southerly winds will affect all areas at first, veering southwesterly strong during Friday, but perhaps increasing to gale near Fair Isle. On Saturday, strong southwesterly to westerly winds will continue in the north but will slowly ease in the southern North Sea. On Sunday there will be further strong southwesterly winds in the North Sea, but with some parts of the southern and eastern North Sea seeing lighter winds at first
