2 leg match where total number of points together over both legs takes the trophy. Scores on a points catch and release (SAMF score chart system) with everything 18cm's and over scoring points.

Very windy to start, with white water in the Tyne and waves !. At end of time the wind had dissappeared and conditions were spot on. Never the less 8 hardy anglers turned out with all but 1 managing to score. Top scorer and heaviest fish on points on the day was Steve Elliott with 6 fish including codling, whiting, flounder and eel. Biggest fish was 37cm flounder worth 60 points.

Who needs an air show when there's fishing to be done. 14 Fished with all managing to score (89 fish recorded overall) including 2 juniors (Edward and Bradley) who looked after their Dad's and kept them right, well done the younguns. Fished over the flood on large tide where eels and flounder were in good numbers (for some) and the odd coalfish. The higher pegs generaly scored better, however Dave Nevin managed to land 16 fish to secure a win over the two comp's combined with a total of 201 points with Steve Elliott coming in a close second with 186 points. Biggest fish of the day on points went to a 33cm flounder (44pts) for Joe Montgomery.

I shud ov known when I seen Codonly folding the peg draw tickets up. He left one three times bigger than the rest. When he drew it out and it was the end peg, I just couldn't work it out. Lol. Well done Mr Elliot. I had a S!!!E peg
 
gan on zippie lad a new ya had it in ya :D i also met steve roberts whilst digging yesterday down roker nice of him to be in the placings ,i asked if he knew dave nevin he replied ive heard the name ................now ya nah him now PMSL :D
