Northumbria Police SAC - Sunderland 16th Feb 2014

13 Anglers fished boundaries between Ryhope and Whitburn Bents Cottages. Fished 3 to 7pm over high water. Marks on the pier, harbour beach and river were fished with the winning bag coming from the harbour beach. This was a catch and release match where everything scoring 18cm or bigger scored points as per the SAMF score chart.

Only CB failed to trouble the scorer.

Well done to Mick for biggest bag and a shared biggest fish on points for Mick again along with Steve Smith who both had 38cm Whitings.

Well done lads and well done Mick. Cheers Ian mate. Don't know what happened last night, same bait and rigs stood in between people catching! Just one of those nights for me and a first as I've always caught when fishing Roker pier!!

Cheers lads kept looking at end of the pier and thinking fish deep water for a big Cod but gambled on fishing beach and scratching.
Down side of beach was loads of dog walkers and keeping an eye on dogs eating baited hooks and bunch of kids who decided it would be fun to throw stones at us instead of in the water.
Still a really enjoyable time. Reckon me and Ian J put back at least half a dozen undersize fish each.
