This is a two leg competition fished on the 5th July,Tyne (Copthorn) and 12th July,Wear (Claxhaugh) with the total number of points being added over both matches. Catch and release applies with bigger fish being rewarded bigger points.

Heaviest fish (biggest points) on the Tyne was a 36cm flounder for Steve Elliot. The Wear produced a draw between Jimmy Brookes and Ray Edmonds with a 37cm flounder each. 32 Fish caught between 10 anglers on the Tyne and 21 on the Wear between 7. The majority were flounder with the odd eel and whiting.
