Hi everyone ,
Well after a few years off the old fishing i have finally decided to get back in to it . I have bought myself some new gear and im just about ready for the winter season to start .
The trouble im having is finding fresh bait .
I live in norway now so i thought i would try to dig my own bait but i cant find anywhere that looks like there might be bait around.
I know there is signs of where lug worm are buried but i diont see it on the beaches here .
is there any signs of where rag worm are ??
if any of you have any hints that would be great .
Also while im on does anyone know of a supplier that could maybe ship over bait to me in stavanger ??

When we were over there last Febuary the beaches were full of casts and Phil said you can dig loads of lug, king rag and monster whites there.

The only bait we needed over there tho was bluey.

Hello Daren mate ,hope all is well over there , always wanted to get fishing over there although I've been busy farther afield .

Keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

Good to hear from you Daren.

I think we'd all love to get amongst those monster cod.

Could you not use some smaller lures to catch herring etc for bait?

I was in Norway in August but didn't need bait from shore or boat.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the use of live bait in Norway not allowed?

hi guys thanks for the tips :-)
matchman where did you hear that from ? im only asking because i have never heard of it before but if your right then i really dont want to be breaking the law here .
in the summer time i see the locals using small casting nests to get live bait fish from the docks and using them to catch mackeral ,
but if the use of worms etc is is banned then ill leave alone !!
i have been using those artifical lug and rag worms ( wont tell you the name ) but they are no good! i have never had a fish on them yet
thanks to the other guys for the warm respose , everything here is great at the min :-)
well if any you have any more thoughts or ideas on this i really wouold like to hear from you guys :-)
hope to have some pictures up on here in the next few weeks ( fingers crossed )
take care and tight lines !!!!

Daren, don't forget to give raw liver a try.

Thanks man i had completly forgot about that , used it a few years ago and had some good results :-)
well im still off shore and i dont get back on land until monday , im itching to get out , but i still have no bait ( worms ) anyone know of any places that de- liver :D
na but seriously if there is anywhere that can ship bait to me ill be more than happy to pay ( as long as its in good nick when it gets here ) frozen blacks and crab too .
