Not a bad in Scotland

Cheers Sean, I usually go down to salcome early summer with the caravan, but I have toyed with the idea of taking the boat and tent camping for a couple of weeks. I've been to Weymouth for hols with the caravan twice and love the place, so if the wife is up for it, it could be "on".

Nice boat, she needs a name. Is that Paddy's milestone in th background?

Hi if you are going to launch at Ardwell check it out at the bottom of the tide rocky & mud seen a tractor lost & a few 4 wheelers stuck this year, a sandbank usually builds up people launch on a dropping tide and can't get their boat over it, the other week 3 lads were dragging their boat over it with 2 sitting inside beggars belief should have seen the carry on when they came in, that's a different story.
Port Logan is a good launch you can launch singe handed try to miss the top of the tide if it is any size, the lads park at the top or the beach if you come in you can get your boat on the trailer but you are not going anywhere till the water drops enough to drive past the other trailers, if you have got to come in then park in the car park & reverse down the ramp.
I been fishing it since late 70s big changes since then you might see 1 more boat out there then now there could be 20 four wheel drives & trailers on the beach.

PS my son in the boat is 33 now, not telling you how old the good looking lad with the tope is
