Hello All,
Its been a bit quiet on hear lately so I thought I\'d do a bit blabberin.
I\'m gettin itchy rod and reel hands for the summer cod.
Been out with the boat a few times over the last couple of months but not much to shout about apart from a nation of whiteys and a few lonely codling, still learning tho.
I\'ve been thinking about the spring/ summer season coming up, what tactics and tackle I should be using and wear abouts I should be fishing.
It was the first season last summer in our little boat for me and the old man. Great fun , just wished we could have getin out more
Anyway I can\'t write a post without asking a question and picking the brains of you lot, so ere goes
What do you recon was your best killer rig / tackle last season ?
Giant hokies ( pink or green ) took codling to 9 lb for me and I recon they were my favourite rig of the season. But towards the end of the season I knocked out a load of norway pirks and hung a one of them below the hokies and they seemed to pick out a few of the bigger codling, especially with a twin tail atached to the bottom.
Looking forward to some bigger cod and hopefully a ling or two this season
Martin.
