Well , the nights are getting longer and the boat season proper is approaching . Had out all the charts and last years diary , thinking of some extended trips this year . We only made it as far as Alcan in the north and easington in the south last season, Furthest trip out was 16 miles , the proposed trip to the graveyard never came off cos it was just too good in-shore . maybe this year . The far wrecks off hartlepool and Craster are calling though :P

Count me in for the long sorties Mr Mason, especially the ones down south.....i will hopefully be spending many an enjoyable weekend at hartlepool and whitby this year again

boblydon its just because you have caravan on the water ,you have more toys on the boat than i have in the house ,only jelous m8 .

Bob, how do you find Whitby fishes compared to Hartlepool from your own boat? We do a decent amount of charters each year and Hartlepool always seem to provide more consistant rough ground sport.

If you lot get a good spell in the weather you should all head down hartlepool way stopping off at the wrecks ont he way down, stay over night, have a night out in and around the docks, fish the following day after kipping on the boats and head home.Would make a good full weekend and a cheap cost..fuel..£30 (unless your Ian) night in the pool? £30ish and the booze £££££ :)

Mike, i dont tend to do that much fishing when i go away with the boat for the weekend, usually stop off on a few wrecks though when travelling there and back

forgot to add that whitby, as far as marina facillitys is a disgrace for such a main tourist area, the toilet and shower facilitys are a joke also....the council have a bloody cheek to charge you......canny night out though

What shower facilities in Whitby ? - I ain\'t never seen any !
Crumby old netty in the car park off Church street - which has a sink and a cold water tap ! :o
The Shower/Toilet facilities at Hartlepool marina are spot on - unless you nip to the car first - then you are buggered for getting back into the building :casstet:

Whitby is an excellent night out though, which in my book is more important than having a shower at the marina ;) - if you can call it a marina.
Much better to nip back to the guesthouse and have a shower there before hitting the town !

Kenny, your right about the toilet block, thats where the showers are, however when your sleeping on the boat you cant go to the guesthouse, also hartlepool s facilities are great both toilet blocks !!!

Have you never wondered why i fitted an autopilot !!! thats why i joined the sea level club .....haa haa, the opposite to the mile high club

yer knees `ll give out when you older mind ......... oh , of course, they already have havn`t they , thats why I had to sail your lats boat in for you (and yr` lady friend LOL :) )
