My son his mate and i take it in turns to decide the mark to fish each weekend,
it was Roker Pier this weekend.
Got set up for about 4am half way up the pier about an hour in to the session one Rockling caught by my son 3 hours in nothing ! had a walk up to the pier to get sum blood circulating into my feet as it was freezing,looked over the railing by the steps a group of Seals:exclam:
Packed up & went to the Ratty 2 Codling & a Whiting that was it for 5 hours just Crabs.
We decided to head off to Hebburn Marina the theory being the Seals were keeping the fish away after 1 hour trying to fish we lost 5 sets of gear in snags.Moved on to billquay caught 1 Whiting bait used was Squid Rag Lug Mackerel all fish were caught on Squid & Mackerel Cocktails.
All fish returned well what fish we Caught
